I first got introduced to optometry at 14. I had to go to an otometrist because I am nearsighted.The whole time I was facinated by all the fancy equipment, and when I saw the picture they took of inside my eyes, I was in awe. All those little veins and arteries helping me see was just amazing to me.After of course, they told me i was nearsighted and placed an order for my perscription.It felt like years before they came, but I'll never forget that feeling I felt when I put those glasses on. It was like a whole new world opened up to me.You never realize how bad something is until you fix the problem. Not only could I see things far away clearer,but everthing in general was clearer. That's why I want to be an optometrist, I want people who have the same problem to be able to experience what i experienced.
